Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
- Comfort and familiarity working with students who have autism or wide-ranging communication needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments for students to identify communication and language challenges
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address diverse speech, language, and social communication needs
- Deliver direct therapy services within the elementary school setting
- Work closely with teachers and parents to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Provide support and training to educational staff on language development strategies and best practices
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings for students receiving speech and language services
