Contract Assignment with Potential for Full-Time Conversion
An established infusion pharmacy in Greensboro is seeking a qualified Home Infusion Pharmacist to provide ongoing coverage several days per week. This position offers the chance to join a dedicated pharmacy team, contribute meaningfully to patient care, and potentially transition into a full-time permanent role.
We are looking for a pharmacist who has hands-on experience in infusion services, sterile compounding operations, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and service.
What You'll Do
- Review and verify physician orders for infusion medications and therapies
- Supervise sterile compounding activities and ensure product accuracy
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations as well as USP <797> and USP <800> requirements
- Evaluate medication regimens for appropriateness, safety, and effectiveness
- Serve as a clinical resource for pharmacy personnel, patients, and providers
- Maintain detailed documentation related to dispensing, quality assurance, and patient care activities
- Assist with workflow management and operational efficiency within the pharmacy
- Promote a culture of patient safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted North Carolina Pharmacist license
- Home infusion and/or infusion pharmacy experience required
- 1+ year consistent and recent sterile compounding experience required
- Strong working knowledge of USP <797> and USP <800> standards
- Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively with minimal supervision
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
Position Details
- Contract assignment with an immediate need for coverage
- Schedule anticipated at 3-5 days per week
- Opportunity to extend or transition into a permanent position
- No Pharmacist-in-Charge responsibilities required while on contract
- Candidates should be open to assuming PIC responsibilities if hired permanently
