The primary focus includes diverse special education caseloads, and flexibility to work with various types of classroom settings, including resource or self-contained as needed.

What you’ll need to succeed:
• Current Special Education Teacher certification (SPED Educator Certificate required)
• Experience working in elementary educational settings preferred
• Comfort and adaptability across different special education service models (resource rooms, self-contained classrooms, etc.)
• Strong ability to individualize instruction and support a range of learning needs
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, safe, and nurturing classroom culture
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and educational staff

Key responsibilities:
• Deliver individualized instruction to elementary students as outlined in their IEPs
• Design and implement engaging lesson plans that meet diverse learning needs
• Assess progress, track goals, and document outcomes for each student
• Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Participate in IEP meetings and support team-based educational planning
• Support students’ academic, social, and behavioral growth in a positive environment
• Uphold professional standards and district/state policies throughout the school year
