Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students with communication needs in a dynamic and inclusive school environment near Friendswood, TX. This assignment offers a chance to work closely with about 60 students across diverse settings, including walk-in speech, ECSE, self-contained, and Autism support classrooms. While not all students in these programs require speech services, your expertise will be instrumental where it matters most.

Enjoy a positive work atmosphere with an outstanding evaluation team, including an ARD Facilitator, Diagnostician, and School Psychologist. The ARD Facilitator will handle all transfer events and annual speech ARDs, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality, student-centered speech-language therapy. Exceptional mentorship and professional guidance are provided—benefit from the support of a mentoring SLP and ongoing access to the Lead SLP throughout your placement.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active ASHA CCC-SLP certification or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Experience in pediatric and/or school-based settings encouraged
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills
  • Ability to work in person, on site, 37.5 hours per week

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language services to students as determined by IEPs
  • Participate in evaluations, screenings, and observation of students as needed
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, the evaluation team, and special programs staff
  • Complete documentation and progress reports with accuracy and timeliness
  • Offer input and support in IEP meetings, assisted by ARD Facilitator

Assignment Details:

  • In-person, contract assignment
  • ASAP start through May 28, 2027
  • Students begin August 19, 2026
