Job Description
Make an impact supporting students’ growth and communication skills as a contract Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This role offers the chance to serve in a dynamic school environment near Live Oak, CA, working closely with licensed SLPs and educational staff to facilitate student success.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a closely related field
- Valid SLPA license or eligible for credentialing as required in California
- Previous experience in a K-12 school setting highly desirable
- Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
- Ability to adapt techniques to meet individual student needs
- Skilled in maintaining detailed documentation and compliance
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services under supervision of a licensed SLP
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed to address students’ speech, language, and communication needs
- Track and record student progress, preparing concise reports for IEP meetings and interdisciplinary teams
- Partner with teachers and staff to foster inclusive classroom experiences
- Support parent communication regarding therapy outcomes and strategies for continued progress at home
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate records in compliance with educational and legal standards
