Job Description
Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a lively educational environment. This contract position offers both full-time (36 hours weekly) and part-time (20 hours weekly) options to fit your needs, with a strong focus on teamwork and student development.
You’ll make a difference across three welcoming campuses, all conveniently within a quarter-mile radius—ideal for professionals who thrive in dynamic settings and are comfortable traveling short distances between sites. Start preparations with a one-day orientation during the week of August 10th before officially beginning on August 17th, 2026. This assignment runs through May 28th, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Holds current licensure as an SLPA.
- Recent experience or training in school-based speech therapy.
- Comfortable with elementary-aged caseloads.
- Able to travel between nearby campus locations as needed.
- Collaborative attitude and effective communication skills.
- Commitment to supporting students’ communication goals under the supervision of an SLP.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to elementary students.
- Follow IEP plans, document progress, and help facilitate student growth.
- Collaborate closely with a supervising SLP for planning and feedback.
- Assist with screenings, therapy materials preparation, and progress monitoring.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive environment for students at all assigned sites.
