- Two or more years of experience in accounting with a mid-sized company with revenues in excess of $20 million.
\n - Two or more years of supervisory experience of two or more staff.
\n - Experience compiling and preparing financial reports and analyses for a company with revenues in excess of $20 million.
\n - Strong experience using Microsoft suite products to analyze and prepare complex reporting assignments.
\n - Experience maintaining ERP system's general ledger accounts and security settings.
\n - Exceptional organizational skills, ability to prioritize, effective time manager, and multi-tasker.
\n - Experience collaborating with multiple departments.
\n - Demonstrated experience working, analyzing, and reporting on restricted net assets.
\n - Experience using and high comfort level with enterprise-wide technology systems. \n

- Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university or a CPA.
\n - Experience with external audits.
\n - Experience with Ellucian Colleague software.
\n - Experience with the State of Idaho accounting system or other systems that support organizations with multiple departments, revenue streams, and many different types of expense categories.
\n - Demonstrated work experience with a Non-Profit entity using Fund accounting in their financial reporting.
\n - Experience making adjusting journal entries, changing cash basis accounting to accrual-based accounting using GASB standards.
\n - Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining a general ledger chart of accounts, including adding new accounts, linking them to reporting trees, and setting up security access roles for employees.
\n - Experience with making financial presentations.
\n - Experience with large bank reconciliations. \n

- Maintain general ledger security activities, including setting up new general ledger accounts, employee \n
- security rights, and linking accounts to correct reporting trees.
\n - Perform monthly and annual general ledger closings, balancing system reports to assure system completeness.
\n - Working with the Controller and other staff, prepare external and internal financial reports, including balance sheet, statement of revenues and expenses, net fund balance, and departmental operating financials.
\n - Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and schedules adjusting cash basis accounting to GASB and FASB accrual-based financial statements and support for reported numbers.
\n - Perform analysis as needed on financial and departmental balances.
\n - Assist with the development and communication of business policies and internal controls.
\n - Work with external and internal auditors.
\n - Work with the Information Technology department to manage networked hardware and software applications, departmental financial reporting, and document scanning program. This position requires a high comfort level with technology use and administration.
\n - Oversee treasury management, supervising small staff, approving banking transactions and monitoring cash balances for best institution support.
\n - Inspire and assist own team and other team's members in meeting established deadlines.
\n - Additional duties include direct and indirect activities to support recruitment and retention of students. \n
