Job Description
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in high-volume electromechanical assembly, use of hand and power tools, and quality control and a proven ability to read and interpret SOPs, blueprints, and electrical schematics to produce high-quality portable power distribution products.
Responsibilities:
- Understand job orders and interact with Epicor to execute work as scheduled.
- Read, comprehend, and follow Standard Operating Procedures to manufacture products safely and accurately.
- Complete and maintain required production documentation, including daily reports, tally sheets, scrap reports, and data entry in Epicor.
- Assemble high-quality portable power distribution boxes in a high-volume environment.
- Use and maintain hand and power tools to perform mechanical and electrical assembly tasks.
- Perform quality control checks and inspections to verify products meet specifications.
- Adhere to PPE requirements and all safety policies.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with electromechanical assembly exposure.
- Ability to read instructions, operate machines safely, and visually inspect parts.
- Proficient use of hand and power tools; good hand dexterity and grip strength.
- Accuracy and timeliness in completing assignments; ability to perform simple mathematics for counts and documentation.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; frequent standing, bending, and reaching.
- Able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test; adherence to PPE for eyes, hands, feet, and hearing.
Preferred Skills:
- Technical secondary education or equivalent training.
- Basic computer skills with accurate data entry; experience with Epicor or similar ERP systems.
- Basic understanding of blueprints, mechanical assembly, and electrical assembly; ability to interpret electrical schematics and diagrams preferred.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask; collaborative in cross-functional environments.
- Analytical problem solver; self-motivated with initiative and follow-through.
