This contract role runs from September 8th through May 28th, offering approximately 10 hours per week of flexible, virtual work—all from the comfort of your own space. The school has a long-standing practice of partnering with virtual providers, so you’ll join a team well-versed in remote collaboration, including SLP, OT, and PT professionals.
You’ll primarily focus on completing initial and re-evaluations—particularly two slated for spring—alongside assessments for a few incoming kindergarteners. With about 100 students receiving special education services, your expertise will have a meaningful impact and offer the chance for more personalized professional relationships.
Key Qualifications:
- Active licensure as a school psychologist in Minnesota
- Sufficient liability insurance meeting 1099 contractor requirements
- Previous experience in school settings preferred, ideally in a virtual or remote capacity
- Proficient in conducting virtual assessments and managing confidential information securely
- Strong communication skills and comfort with remote collaboration tools
Responsibilities:
- Complete virtual initial and re-evaluations, ensuring compliance with district and state standards
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of educators and therapists
- Document findings and provide clear recommendations for student support services
- Communicate evaluation results to families and staff sensitively and professionally
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions
