Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current SLP license (Connecticut preferred) and SLP-CCC certification
- Experience working in elementary, middle, or high school environments
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with teachers, administrators, and parents
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
- Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals and educational frameworks
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy for students with various speech and language disorders
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student success
- Document progress, prepare accurate reports, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide recommendations for classroom accommodations and assistive communication technology, when appropriate
