Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity as an on-site Registered Behavior Technician, where you’ll make a genuine difference supporting students in a school-based setting. This contract position begins August 10, 2026, and runs through May 28, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week. Start by providing dedicated 1:1 behavioral support for an elementary school student, then transition to impacting multiple school communities in the low incidence program as an itinerant RBT across 3-4 sites.
Key qualifications:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) licensure is required
- Experience working with elementary-age children is highly valued
- Previous familiarity supporting students with diverse behavioral and learning needs
- Flexibility to serve multiple campuses as the assignment transitions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, staff, and family
- Willingness to complete fingerprinting through AHCA Clearinghouse and participate in credential validation (JLA badge application)
What you’ll do:
- Provide tailored 1:1 ABA interventions with an elementary student
- Collect and document behavioral data to monitor progress and adjust strategies
- Transition to supporting 3-4 campuses, offering expertise in low incidence programming
- Collaborate with special education teams to create positive outcomes for students
- Support teachers and staff through modeling, direct service, and ongoing communication
- Maintain professionalism and uphold district and ethical standards
