In this collaborative role, you’ll play a key part in fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment while working closely with educators and students near Oakland, CA.

You’ll have a direct impact by assisting teachers during instruction, engaging students in small-group and one-on-one settings, and supporting learners’ academic and social-emotional growth. Your efforts will ensure smooth classroom operations and contribute to a positive, engaging learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Aid teachers with instructional activities, small-group assistance, and individualized student support.
  • Student Assistance: Offer academic guidance, encourage positive behavior, and help students build essential social-emotional skills.
  • Instructional Preparation: Organize classroom materials, prepare resources, and reinforce daily lesson plans.
  • Supervision Duties: Oversee students during non-instructional times, including transitions, lunch, and recess.
  • Collaboration: Partner with a multidisciplinary team to promote student success and a healthy learning environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of at least 48 college semester units OR an Associate’s degree (AA/AS)
  • Ability to pass background and fingerprint clearance
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and a student-centered approach
