Job Description
Step into an engaging educational setting as a co-teacher for English Language Arts, supporting students’ growth in reading, writing, and comprehension. This full-time, onsite contract runs from August 3 through May 21, 2027, at a dynamic high school in the Scottsdale, AZ area. Collaborate with fellow educators in a co-teaching model to deliver an effective curriculum and foster an environment where every student shines.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Arizona Standard Secondary Teaching License is required
- Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Demonstrated background in teaching English: reading, writing, and comprehension
- Experience co-teaching or working collaboratively in classroom settings preferred
- Strong classroom management skills and commitment to inclusive education
- Additional Special Education licensure is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Co-teach English instruction to high school students, ensuring lessons are engaging and tailored to diverse learning needs
- Develop and implement creative instructional strategies alongside your co-teacher
- Utilize data to monitor and support each student’s progress
- Collaborate closely with colleagues to plan lessons, assessments, and interventions
- Maintain a supportive, well-managed classroom environment for all learners
- Participate in staff meetings, parent communications, and school events as needed
