Exciting contract opportunities are available for passionate and dedicated Special Education Teachers looking to make an impact in elementary school settings near Denver, CO. These positions begin July 27, 2026, and run through May 21, 2027, offering full-time schedules of 37.5 hours per week and the unique chance to work in supportive, dynamic school communities.

Multiple placements match distinct skill sets and interests, including mild/moderate learning specialist roles as well as more specialized affective needs and structured learning services assignments. Each assignment focuses on serving one school location—no juggling between multiple campuses.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Colorado Department of Education Teacher license with Special Education Generalist (5-21) endorsement
  • Experience in elementary school special education settings
  • Familiarity with implementation of IEPs and working with interdisciplinary teams
  • For behavioral-focused positions, demonstrated knowledge of CPI, ABA, de-escalation, FBA, and BIP
  • Autism support experience is necessary for certain placements
  • Leadership experience guiding paraprofessionals is highly valued
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to partner effectively with principals, therapists, and other support staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans and individualized education programs (IEPs) targeted to mild/moderate or more significant needs depending on assignment
  • Collaborate with paraprofessional teams and related service providers
  • Monitor student progress and adapt instruction for best outcomes
  • Foster an inclusive, positive, and safe classroom environment
  • Complete required district documentation promptly
