Registered Behavior Technician - Kenner, LA

Step into a dynamic educational setting as a Registered Behavior Technician supporting students in the New Orleans area for the upcoming school year. This contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate closely with educators and behavior analysts in making a meaningful impact on student growth and success. You’ll work full-time, Monday through Friday, engaging with learners according to the academic calendar.

Qualifications:

• Active national RBT certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
• Must be formally registered as a line technician with the Louisiana Behavior Analyst Board by your supervising LBA
• At least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a 40-hour RBT training program and initial Competency Assessment
• Successful passage of the official RBT certification exam
• Capable of passing a criminal background check, abuse registry screening, drug screen, and fingerprinting as required by the district and staffing agency
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working collaboratively with students, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct behavioral support to students under the guidance of a Licensed Behavior Analyst
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans and data collection procedures
• Foster positive, supportive relationships with students and assist with skill acquisition and behavior reduction strategies
• Contribute to a safe and inclusive classroom environment
• Maintain accurate documentation and report on student progress
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing training as directed

This full-time contract runs from early August through late May, offering steady hours throughout the academic year. The assignment location will be confirmed upon hiring, and caseload details will be shared as placements are finalized.
