Step into a pivotal role as a school-based BCBA/Autism Specialist for the 2026-2027 academic year and make a meaningful difference in the lives of students. Based onsite at four local schools, you'll collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the best support for students with autism and their educators. This contract position offers the chance to expand your expertise while supporting both staff and students with your behavioral and consultation skills.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Active BCBA certification (screenshot required at submission)
  • Prior experience working as a BCBA or Autism Specialist in school settings preferred
  • Skilled in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing tailored Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Proven track record coaching teachers and paraprofessionals on implementing effective behavior strategies
  • Experience working in classrooms serving students with autism and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Reliable transportation, as travel between four school locations is expected
  • Ability to clear a drug screening and CORI/fingerprint background check

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic behavior consultation and support across multiple school sites
  • Conduct FBAs and proactively develop comprehensive BIPs
  • Implement classroom coaching and collaborate with teaching and paraprofessional staff
  • Facilitate training and guidance for staff working with students with autism
  • Maintain open and professional communication regarding scheduling and attendance
  • Uphold punctuality and proactive notification for absences
