Job Opportunity: Hematologist Oncologist

We are excited to announce an opening for Board Certified/Board Eligible Hematologist Oncologists to join our expanding team. This is a unique chance to become a vital member of our established statewide cancer service line as we grow our presence in the Des Moines area. Utilize your skills to enhance team development and ensure outstanding patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Admit patients to the Hospitalist service.
  • Conduct inpatient rounds with Advanced Practice Providers (APP).
  • Participate in equitable second call duties for physicians.
  • Engage in teaching opportunities for residents and medical students.
  • Contribute to clinical trials.
  • Manage a diverse case mix, including Solid Organ Tumors, Breast, Gynecology, and Hematology.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Starting salary floor of $600,000, with production incentives beginning in the third year.
  • We welcome applications from J1 and H1B visa candidates.
Facilities and Services
  • A dedicated Breast Center featuring two specialized surgeons focused on advanced surgical care.
  • Two Radiation Oncology locations equipped with five linear accelerators, including Iowa's only CyberKnife.
  • An advanced Infusion Center for Hematology Oncology.
  • Comprehensive Surgical and Diagnostic Services, including Colorectal Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Thoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, and Pulmonology, with the first site in Iowa offering ION technology for robotic-assisted lung biopsies.
  • A weekly Multidisciplinary Lung Clinic for coordinated patient management.
  • Monthly Cancer Conferences across various disease sites for collaborative treatment planning.
  • Palliative Care and Integrative Oncology Services supported by our foundation.
  • A strategic partnership with a local clinic to enhance access to high-quality cancer care in Central Iowa, including Radiation Oncology, Hematology Oncology, and a dedicated GYN Oncologist.
