Job Description
Make a significant impact supporting students’ communication and educational success in a vibrant elementary and preschool setting. A committed school is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), available to start in October and continue through the end of the school year.
This contract position offers a Monday through Friday schedule, 7:30am–3:30pm, totaling over 30 hours a week. The caseload consists of 50-70 students ranging from PreK through 6th grade. You’ll draw upon your expertise to help students achieve essential speech and language skills, collaborating closely with teachers, families, and support staff to encourage lasting progress.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP license in Arizona (or eligibility to obtain)
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous experience in a school setting, preferably serving PK–6th grade populations
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt to student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups
- Maintain accurate records of progress, attendance, and documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with teachers and families
- Deliver consultative support to classroom staff to foster inclusive environments
