Classroom Aide | Maple Grove, Minnesota

Step into an essential role supporting middle school students as a highly qualified paraprofessional for the upcoming academic year! Multiple positions are available across various school locations, giving you the opportunity to select the site that best aligns with your interests and commute preferences. You’ll be working closely with students, educators, and school teams in a dynamic and rewarding environment. This role offers a contract period of 90 days (August 31, 2026, through November 29, 2026) with the intention to transition to a direct hire afterward.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support middle school students in inclusive and special education settings.
• Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to ensure student success.
• Assist students with academic activities and daily routines, including personal care and toileting assistance, as needed.
• Foster a respectful, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate observations regarding individual progress to the educational team.
• Promote positive social interactions among students.

Desired Qualifications:

• Highly qualified status is required (one of the following):
  • Passing score on the Minnesota Para Educator Exam.
  • Minimum of 60 college credits, with official transcripts provided.
• Previous experience working in a school or youth setting is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to supporting student learning and well-being.
• Dependable and proactive approach to meeting diverse student needs.
• Willingness to assist with toileting and personal care as part of daily responsibilities.

This contracted opportunity is full-time (32.5 hours/week, Monday through Friday) and pays $20 per hour. After 422 hours, successful candidates will be considered for a direct hire position.
