School Psychologist - Des Plaines, Illinois

This in-person, contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful difference across two school locations, focusing on both academic and social-emotional needs for a caseload of 60 students.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or higher in Psychology or Educational Psychology
• Active and valid Illinois PEL with School Psychologist Endorsement
• At least 2 years of school-based experience
• Strong understanding and demonstration of core educational values
• Persistent, solutions-driven approach for student success

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prevent, assess, identify, and support students’ academic and social-emotional needs, facilitating access to learning and developmentally appropriate relationships and behaviors
• Collaborate as an integral member of multidisciplinary teams (SPED, 504, MTSS), ensuring timely and effective evaluation, interventions, and compliance for special education and related services
• Serve as a consultant on MTSS systems, leading Tier 3 intervention strategies and progress monitoring
• Prepare and present detailed reports, participate in eligibility, annual, and IEP/problem-solving meetings, and gather additional information from outside agencies as needed
• Maintain rigorous records of direct services, collaboration notes, and progress data in line with network and legal requirements
• Stay current with best practices, sharing insights and providing professional development to psychology teams and other staff
• Engage actively in meetings and function as a liaison and subject matter expert in child development and related disorders
• Offer consistent, clear communication with parents, caregivers, and team members regarding student needs and progress
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations and policies
