The Cardiovascular Sonographer performs a variety of advanced ultrasound imaging procedures assisting in diagnosing and monitoring a wide range of medical conditions. This role requires technical expertise in operating ultrasound equipment, patient care skills, and the ability to provide accurate and high-quality diagnostic images. Responsibilities also require a strong commitment to patient care and collaborative communication with patients and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.\n

Position Details:

Mercy Washington, Full Time, $10,000 sign on bonus!

\n

Loan Repayment Assistance Program up to $20,000 Lifetime: The Imaging Loan Repayment Assistance Program provides financial support to our Mercy Imaging co-workers in a 24X7 hospital based eligible position who are in a .4 FTE and above, working 32 hours or more per pay period. The program offers monthly payments made directly to the loan servicer up to the amount of $370 per month and up to $20,000 for a lifetime maximum.

Minimum Qualifications:

\n

Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours OR received on the job training by a Preceptor who is registered in Cardiac ultrasound.

\n

Experience: No experience required

\n

Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.

\n

Certification: ARDMS (RVT) or CCI(RVS) or ARRT(RVS) AND ARDMS(RDCS) or CCI(RCS) or registry eligible (must obtain registry within 6 months of eligibility); Basic Life Support (BLS)

\n

  • Knowledge in producing diagnostic images proficiently with the ability to recognize technical abnormalities.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • \n
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of protocols and ability to make adjustments as needed.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of safe & proper machine operation.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of machine emergency procedures and radiation safety procedures.
  • \n
  • Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • \n

Physical Requirements:

\n

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

\n

• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.

\n

• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

\n
