Registered Nurse School Setting - Bensenville, IL

Step into a purposeful, rewarding role supporting a young student as a 1:1 Registered Nurse in a vibrant elementary school environment. This full-time, on-site contract position focuses on delivering comprehensive care to a first-grade student with complex medical and mobility needs, enabling them to thrive in the classroom.

In this role, you will:

• Safely manage and monitor a tracheostomy and ventilator, performing suctioning as needed
• Administer and track enteral (G-tube) feedings and oral liquid intake, ensuring the student’s comfort and safety
• Provide physical support with transfers, wheelchair mobility, hygiene, and lifting or maneuvering essential medical equipment such as oxygen tanks
• Accompany the student on the school bus for daily transport, maintaining a nurturing and attentive presence throughout the day

Desired Qualifications:

• Active State RN License/Certification
• Demonstrated experience with high-acuity pediatric care, preferably in a school, home health, or one-to-one setting
• Proficiency in operating ventilators and trach care independently
• Experience with G-tube feeding systems
• Physical readiness and confidence in supporting a wheelchair-bound pediatric patient
• Outstanding interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with teachers, therapists, parents, and school administrators
