Behavior Specialist in School Setting - Elk River, Minnesota

Requirements:

• Minnesota teaching license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required for contracted Special Education Teachers)
• Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or Behavior Specialist
• Strong understanding of behavior intervention principles and implementation in school settings
• Ability to collaborate and consult with teachers on development and implementation of behavioral plans
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with students, colleagues, and families
• Current resume highlighting relevant experience and credentials

Role Highlights:

• Mornings spent with high school students, focusing on individualized instruction and student achievement
• Afternoons serving as a Behavior Intervention Specialist, collaborating with elementary teachers for effective behavior plans and classroom management strategies
• No caseload required for the BIS portion; you’ll act as a mentor and resource to support staff implementation
• 37.5-hour workweek, Monday through Friday (7 a.m. – 3 p.m.), following the school district calendar
