Pharmacist - Republic, MO

This position offers a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in the central pharmacy operations of an acute care hospital setting. You will serve as the primary pharmacist overseeing medication verification and workflow coordination in the central pharmacy, ensuring that medication products such as IVs, kits, crash carts, and prepackaged items are accurately checked and restocked to maintain high safety standards.

Location: Republic, MO
Schedule:

• Evenings, 2:30 PM – 12:30 AM
• 7 days on, 7 days off (Thursday to Wednesday; schedule may vary)
• 36 guaranteed hours weekly

Responsibilities:

• Verify and check medications, kits, crash carts, and prepackaged items using the EPIC system
• Coordinate workflow of pharmacy technicians during the shift; provide direction to optimize task completion
• Ensure code carts and other critical medication supplies are restocked accurately and timely
• Oversee central pharmacy operations during evening hours while collaborating with daytime pharmacists focused on order review

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Missouri (required)
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience; new graduates are welcome to apply
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage workflow efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment

Training:

• A 2-3 week training period focused on product verification tailored to pharmacist capability

Work Environment:

• Central pharmacy includes a dedicated team of pharmacists and technicians, creating a collaborative and organized atmosphere
• This role involves overseeing technician workflow without direct supervisory responsibilities over staff

This contract assignment lasts 13 weeks with a strong possibility of extension, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute your skills in a dynamic hospital pharmacy setting.
