Elevate your career by joining a well-established Hematology/Oncology program dedicated to treating Veterans with both malignant and benign hematologic conditions, as well as malignant solid tumors. Your role will include providing specialized consultations for inpatients and outpatients, participating in committees, engaging in quality assurance initiatives, and helping our facility achieve set performance standards. A strong background in diagnosing, staging, and treating these disorders is essential. Additionally, teaching and mentoring medical students and residents will be a key aspect of this role. Candidates must be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Arizona School of Medicine - Phoenix. The medical center is conveniently situated in the heart of Phoenix, making it easily accessible.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Minimal On-Call Duties)

**Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) Details: This position qualifies for the EDRP, a program for student loan repayment. Candidates must meet specific eligibility criteria as per VHA policy and submit their EDRP application within four months of starting. Approval, award amounts (up to $200,000), and eligibility duration (one to five years) will be determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after a thorough review of the application. Previous participants are not eligible to reapply for the EDRP incentive.
