Retail Pharmacist - Delhi, NY

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacist in a retail pharmacy setting located in Oneonta, NY. This role involves both interim and permanent positions, offering the flexibility to choose the best fit for your career. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with Saturday hours from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM; Sundays are closed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Register with the state board of pharmacy as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge.
• Ensure full compliance with federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
• Manage pharmacy operations including budgeting, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory to meet financial targets.
• Participate in community and store business development activities.
• Supervise pharmacy support staff, conduct performance reviews, provide guidance, and ensure adherence to regulatory and company standards.
• Oversee completion of mandatory training for all pharmacy associates.
• Engage in patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
• Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medications, dosages, interactions, and monitor patient health for therapeutic compliance.
• Maintain continuous quality improvement programs to prioritize patient safety.
• Keep the workstation and department facilities clean and organized according to company and legal standards.
• Complete continuing education as mandated by state law.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Valid New York State pharmacist license.
• Immunization certification is required.
• Confidence and experience administering all types of vaccines.
• Relocation assistance is available for permanent candidates.
