Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, or in a classroom support capacity is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and staff.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a proactive attitude in addressing the diverse needs of K-12 students.
  • Ability to follow teacher plans and directives with reliability and professionalism.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to school policies.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of paraprofessional certification or relevant coursework is a plus.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide instructional and behavioral support for students under the supervision of classroom teachers.
  • Assist with classroom activities, lesson reinforcement, and adapting materials as needed.
  • Support students with special needs, including helping implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Foster an inclusive, respectful, and engaging classroom atmosphere.
  • Monitor student progress and communicate observations to teaching staff.
  • Help maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment.
