Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract role supporting middle school students as a highly-qualified Paraprofessional this upcoming school year. Multiple openings are available in several schools, with opportunities to select your preferred site based on your interests and commute preferences.
You will play an integral part in the daily school routine, helping students thrive both academically and personally. This position runs from late August through the end of November, at which point, upon reaching 422 contract hours, you may be offered a direct hire role with the district.
Desired Qualifications:
- Meet Minnesota’s highly-qualified paraprofessional requirements by ONE of the following before application:
- Passing score on the MN Para Educator Exam (attach official score)
- Completion of at least 60 college credits (submit official transcripts, not just a diploma image)
- Prior experience as a paraprofessional or in a school setting is highly valued
- Compassion, flexibility, and a true passion for working with middle school students
- Willingness to assist with toileting and personal care needs as required for the role
- Ability to collaborate with diverse school teams and adapt to various classroom environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in academics, behavior, and social development under the guidance of certified staff
- Prepare and adapt instructional materials as needed
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Assist with daily routines, including toileting and personal care when needed
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Follow school and district policies with reliability and professionalism
