Skills & Qualifications:

  • Active state licensure or certification as an OT or COTA
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
  • Strong understanding of pediatric therapy practices for educational settings
  • Ability to develop individualized plans to meet diverse student needs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Organizational skills and flexibility to manage a school caseload

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, planning, and direct therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to support student participation and success in the classroom
  • Document progress, maintain records, and complete required reports
  • Support inclusion and access by developing interventions that promote motor skills, self-care, social participation, and adaptive functioning
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute meaningful observations and recommendations
  • Offer guidance and resources to staff and families for best practices in student support
