Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Missouri City, Texas
Job Description
Step into a fulfilling opportunity providing speech and language services in a supportive and collaborative school environment near Missouri City, TX. This contract position is ideal for professionals passionate about making a difference in the lives of students. With a manageable caseload of about 60 students, you'll work in person alongside a strong team that includes a mentor SLP and a dedicated Lead SLP, ensuring you’re never without guidance or resources.
Students on this campus benefit from a variety of programs, including walk-in speech, an ECSE classroom, a school-age self-contained classroom, and Autism support. Not every student within these settings receives services, allowing for targeted, meaningful intervention. The ARD Facilitator handles all transfer events and annual speech ARDs, enabling you to focus on assessments and therapy, supported by an expert evaluation team including a Diagnostician and a School Psychologist.
This contract runs from ASAP until late May 2027, with students returning August 19, 2026. Your 37.5-hour workweek ensures a full, yet balanced, schedule to connect with students and collaborate with staff.
Qualifications and Desired Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Hold (or able to obtain) state licensure and relevant credentials
- CCC-SLP or eligible Clinical Fellow (CFY) welcome
- Experience or strong interest in school-based pediatric settings
- Enthusiasm for providing services in diverse, inclusive programs
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy
- Conduct evaluations, keep accurate records, and develop IEP goals
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families
- Engage with the ARD team for educational planning
