Performs specialized MRI procedures on patients, resulting in diagnostic images for interpretation by a radiologist. Also provides the patient care essential to these procedures. Applies principles of MR safety. Two registries working in area or Super User for select programs.\nPosition Details:
\nEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or MRI Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.
\nExperience: 1+ years of relevant experience OR graduate of Bachelor degree program
\nLicensure/Certifications: ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT 1 Advanced registry (MRI)- working in the area
\nOther Skills & Knowledge:
\n· IV Insertion
\n· Technical skill in medical scanning, understanding of cross sectional anatomy, and 3-D knowledge.
\nWorking Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements:
\n· Manipulating equipment, lifting, moving, and transporting patients.
\n· Continual standing or walking.
\n· Adapt to stressful situations.
\nEquipment Used:
\n· Should be proficient in the use of MRI Scanners, Power Injectors, workstations and Computers.
\nPreferred Education: Bachelor degree
