Performs specialized MRI procedures on patients, resulting in diagnostic images for interpretation by a radiologist. Also provides the patient care essential to these procedures. Applies principles of MR safety. Two registries working in area or Super User for select programs.\n

Position Details:

\n

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or MRI Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.

\n

Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience OR graduate of Bachelor degree program

\n

Licensure/Certifications: ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT 1 Advanced registry (MRI)- working in the area

\n

Other Skills & Knowledge:

\n

· IV Insertion

\n

· Technical skill in medical scanning, understanding of cross sectional anatomy, and 3-D knowledge.

\n

Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements:

\n

· Manipulating equipment, lifting, moving, and transporting patients.

\n

· Continual standing or walking.

\n

· Adapt to stressful situations.

\n

Equipment Used:

\n

· Should be proficient in the use of MRI Scanners, Power Injectors, workstations and Computers.

\n

Preferred Education: Bachelor degree

\n
