School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Elizabeth, New Jersey

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license in New Jersey
• Previous experience in a school setting and appropriate school nurse credentials preferred
• Skilled in managing diabetes care, daily medication administration, and seizure precautions
• Comfortable supervising or assisting with bus rides for field trips, as well as providing coverage in the front office when needed
• Confident working independently across all grade levels, from PreK to 12th
• Able to complete reference checks (no formal interview required)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily health needs of students, including medication administration and diabetes monitoring
• Respond promptly and appropriately to medical emergencies, including seizures and allergies
• Offer compassionate care to students with chronic health conditions and specific care plans
• Participate in field trips and assist within the front office to support school operations
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation for both routine care and incidents
• Communicate clearly with school staff, students, and families about health issues and care instructions
