Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Colorado Teaching License with Special Education Generalist (Ages 5–21) Endorsement required.
  • Recent experience working with elementary students with affective needs preferred.
  • Strong ability to build positive relationships and collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to complete time-sensitive district credentialing and contractor documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction and develop IEPs for students in an affective needs classroom.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment where all students can thrive.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and administrators to implement best practices.
  • Communicate regularly with families to support student progress.
  • Monitor and document student growth, behavior, and achievement.
