Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This per diem pharmacist opportunity focuses on providing specialized care for the HIV/AIDS patient population in a retail community pharmacy setting. The role requires a compassionate, respectful, and non-judgmental approach to patient care, ensuring trust and effective communication between pharmacist and patients managing sensitive health needs.
Location:
- Kissimmee, FL (also opportunity for coverage in Plantation and nearby areas)
Schedule:
- Per diem shifts available, including upcoming date Thursday, 7/30, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm at the Plantation location
- Operations: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm; Friday, 8:30 am – 12:30 pm; no weekend shifts
Responsibilities:
- Dispense specialty HIV/AIDS medications accurately and efficiently
- Provide high-level patient care, support, and counseling tailored to the needs of an infectious disease population
- Collaborate closely with healthcare providers and pharmacy team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Demonstrate pharmacy intuition by proactively identifying and addressing pharmacy duties and workflow needs
- Maintain respectful, empathetic communication that fosters patient trust and confidence
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- 1-2 years of retail or specialty experience dispensing HIV/AIDS-related medications (must be clearly stated on resume)
- Proficient with QS1 pharmacy management software
- Licensed pharmacist in Florida
- Commitment to reliability, punctuality, and professionalism
- Strong teamwork, communication skills, and positive attitude
