Job Description
Position: Cable Apprentice / Warehouse Associate
Location: 805 Island Dr, Dock 10 Madison, NC 27025
Schedule: 6 days a week - 12 hour days; Day shift ONLY - 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Pay: $22/hr!!!
Duration: 6-8 weeks
Start Date: August 10th

Total Deployment Solutions (TDS) is a technology services company that supports data center projects, IT deployments, and infrastructure initiatives for enterprise customers across the United States. They run 6-7 projects concurrently & have teams of 150+ traveling for various cable jobs.
Job Summary
The Cable Apprentice will assist the data center team with basic cable work, including running it up ladders, organizing, and general support tasks. This is a hands on role that requires working on your feet for 12 hours a day, climbing ladders, following directions, and being adaptable. Prior experience working in a data center/cabling environment preferred. This is going to be a 2-week sprint with a 6-week maintenance period that requires LONG hours and various work.
Requirements
- OSHA 10
- Comfortable climbing ladders
- Warehouse, assembly, or general labor experience preferred
- Cabling or rack-and-stack experience is a plus
- Reliable and hard-working
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Able to follow directions
- Able to read basic drawings or blueprints
- Comfortable working long hours
- Must be able to lift and move equipment as needed
- PPE Requirements: Hard hat and steel toe boots
Additional Details (Plusses)
- Prior experience with fiber, cables, or new standard copper (AEC)
- Knowledge of different types of cable
