Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a dedicated School Psychologist supporting students from early childhood through 8th grade. This full-year assignment offers a dynamic split between two locations: mornings are focused on ECAT evaluations and meetings in Vernon Hills, while afternoons engage you in a classic school psychologist role serving students in Lake Villa. Your 7.5-hour workday (including a lunch break) runs Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, providing a consistent, predictable schedule.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid School Psychologist license and relevant state credential
  • Proven experience conducting educational and psychological assessments
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities for reporting, collaboration, and engagement with families and educators
  • Ability to work effectively with students from early childhood through middle school
  • Skilled in participating in IEP meetings and supporting best practices in special education
  • Positive, adaptable approach suited to a fast-paced school environment

Your Role Will Include:

  • Completing comprehensive ECAT evaluations and associated reports
  • Facilitating and participating in special education meetings and team consultations
  • Providing direct and consultative support for students, families, and school staff
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student success
  • Developing, monitoring, and adjusting student plans to ensure effective interventions
  • Addressing crisis situations and supporting school-wide initiatives for mental wellness
