Looking for a rewarding opportunity to support students’ communication growth across various school settings? This contract position offers the chance to work with preschool through grade 8 students in dynamic environments, including both public and private school settings.

This assignment runs from August 18 to June 7, with full-time equivalent hours of 37.5 per week. Depending on your preference for delivering services, caseloads average 40-45 students for virtual placements and 65-70 for on-site roles. The primary building served is a 5th-8th grade school with a caseload of 35, as well as multiple private school buildings covering preschool through grade 8. While there is little to no AAC device use in these settings, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with teachers and families and help shape programming to benefit students’ speech and language skills. Candidates with bilingual skills are encouraged to apply, as all applicants will be thoughtfully considered based on the needs and strengths they can bring.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid state SLP license or eligibility
  • Experience in school settings strongly preferred
  • Strong collaboration and communication abilities
  • Interest in working with diverse student populations
  • SLPA applicants considered if interested in on-site roles

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech/language evaluations and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Deliver direct and consultative therapies according to caseload and setting
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school standards
  • Participate in team meetings and problem-solving initiatives
