This role calls for an enthusiastic educator experienced in both English Language Arts and Social Studies, with a special emphasis on supporting 5th-grade learners. The position is full-time, onsite only, and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact within a supportive and dynamic school environment from August 17 through May 27, 2027.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field required
  • Current Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate endorsements
  • Deep understanding of 5th-grade curriculum design, instructional planning, and classroom management
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience teaching both English Language Arts and Social Studies at the elementary level is highly valued
  • Committed to onsite instruction; remote or virtual options are not available

Role Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver dynamic lessons for 5th-grade students in both ELA and Social Studies
  • Differentiate instruction to meet a diverse range of learning styles and needs
  • Foster a classroom environment supportive of academic, social, and emotional development
  • Assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and communicate progress with parents/guardians
  • Collaborate with grade-level colleagues and administration to maintain high academic standards
  • Participate in school events, parent meetings, and professional development as required
