Key Qualifications:

• Current Washington State Special Education Teacher certification (required)
• Experience supporting students with a variety of disabilities at the middle school level preferred
• Knowledge of IEP development, data-driven instruction, and best practices in special education
• Strong communication and collaborative skills to engage positively with students, families, and staff
• Commitment to equitable and inclusive education

Position Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs
• Adapt curriculum, instruction, and assessment methods to optimize student success
• Track, report, and document student progress and compliance requirements
• Foster a respectful, encouraging, and structured classroom environment
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and families to support student inclusion and achievement
