Key qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Texas licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Prior school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Ability to effectively manage and support a caseload of approximately 60 students
- Flexibility and agility to travel between multiple school locations as needed
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
Role responsibilities:
- Deliver diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to students with various communication disorders
- Assess and evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication needs within the school setting
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to develop individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Contribute to multidisciplinary evaluation teams and participate in meetings as required
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Provide consultation and training to classroom staff as needed
