Make an impact this school year by supporting K-8 students as a dedicated school psychologist working in person at two locations in the Chicago area. This contract role calls for a compassionate and skilled professional equipped to tackle academic and social-emotional challenges and help every child reach their full potential.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Psychology or Educational Psychology
  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist Endorsement
  • At least 2 years of experience in a school-based setting
  • Strong alignment with core values centered on student success
  • Exceptional collaboration skills within SPED, 504, and MTSS teams

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, identify, and support students with academic or social-emotional needs impacting learning and social development
  • Maintain strict compliance with all special education, 504, and MTSS processes, timelines, and documentation
  • Serve as a consultant for Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and lead interventions for Tier 3 students
  • Prepare and present reports within regulatory timelines and participate in IEP, 504, and problem-solving meetings
  • Request and manage information from external agencies appropriately
  • Keep diligent records of services, consultations, and progress monitoring
  • Stay informed on research-based best practices, and share knowledge with psychology teams and stakeholders
  • Maintain ongoing communication with parents, team members, and staff regarding student needs and progress
  • Adhere to all legal, ethical, and organizational requirements

Caseload Details:

  • Support approximately 60 students across two campuses (K-8)
  • Work full-time (37.5 hours/week), splitting time between two city locations
