Step into a meaningful role supporting students as a Special Education Teacher at the elementary level. This full-year contract position is based onsite and offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact by working closely with up to 22 students across multiple grade levels. In this role, you will provide resource room instruction and support tailored to each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. You will collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families, fostering academic, behavioral, and social growth for students with varying needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current, valid Minnesota teaching license is required
  • Proven experience working with students who have emotional and behavioral disorders
  • Strong knowledge of special education instructional strategies and compliance
  • Ability to maintain effective communication with team members and families
  • Skilled in adapting curriculum to accommodate individualized learning needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver special education instruction and support aligned with student IEP goals
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies to promote positive academic and behavioral outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with general education teachers, service providers, and parents to develop a cohesive support system for students
  • Document student progress and participate in IEP meetings, ensuring legal and educational compliance
  • Foster an inclusive, respectful classroom environment that supports multi-grade levels

This contract spans from August 31, 2026, to June 9, 2027, for 40 hours per week at an elementary site near Minneapolis, MN. You’ll join a passionate group of educators dedicated to excellence in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
