Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Shelton, WA

Step into an engaging opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting young learners in a dynamic elementary school environment. This full-time, on-site contract role begins tentatively on August 24th, with a schedule that follows the student day Monday through Friday. Working closely with a dedicated educational team, you’ll provide crucial speech and language services to children at the Early Learning level, including involvement with developmental preschool, itinerant services, and early intervention assessments.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid SLP-CCC certification
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Strong background evaluating and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged populations
• Experience participating in multidisciplinary IEP meetings and developing effective, student-centered goals
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience with early childhood and/or developmental preschool preferred

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough speech/language screenings and formal evaluations, including Child Find and Transition to Kindergarten assessments as needed
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy to a caseload of elementary-aged students, including itinerant services
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student communication needs
• Track student progress and maintain timely, accurate documentation in accordance with local and federal requirements
• Participate in pre- and post-student day meetings for evaluations, team planning, and IEPs
• Support developmental preschool programming (note: no student contact Wednesdays for DPS)
