Step-Down to ICU Career Path Program

- Develop critical thinking and expand that skill set as you specialize down the road \n
- Develop and strengthen fundamental, core skills \n
- Available to transfer to ICU within 12-18 months \n
Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
\n Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
\n Experience:
\n Certifications:
\n - Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department-required timeframe:
\n - ACLS/ALS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
\n - NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
\n - ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
\n - TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
\n - CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses)
\n - OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
\n - BLS (Basic Life Support)
\n - PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
\n - PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
\n - S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
\n - C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
\n - Other unit-specific certifications as required.

Physical Requirements:
\n • Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
\n • Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
\n • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
