Position Overview
- Employment Type: Full-Time (1.0 FTE)
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with in-person duties and additional weekend rounding and on-call responsibilities.
- Work Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
- Specialization: Psychiatry
- Facility Details: The hospital features a 28-bed inpatient psychiatric unit and a Partial Hospitalization Program accommodating 24 chairs.
- Role Description: This position encompasses both inpatient psychiatry and consult-liaison services, along with the chance to cover the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP).
- Team Composition: 5 attending physicians and 2 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
- Teaching Roles: Opportunities to instruct and mentor medical students and residents in a collaborative academic setting.
- On-Call Duties: Inpatient call rotation approximately every six days.

Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry, with a commitment to achieve certification within 12 months.
- Active Michigan medical license (or the ability to obtain one)
- DEA registration
- BLS certification (must be maintained) / ACLS/BLS certification (must be maintained)
Key Responsibilities
A typical day may involve:
- Delivering direct patient care
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Engaging in teaching and mentoring activities
- Documenting patient information in Epic EMR
- Participating in quality improvement projects
- Supporting community health initiatives
- Additional opportunities may include involvement in group education programs and pursuing continuing education for ongoing professional development.
