ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated School-Based Occupational Therapist for a full-time contract opportunity in Sudbury, Massachusetts. This position provides the opportunity to support students in grades K-8 through occupational therapy services designed to promote independence, participation, and success in the classroom environment. The district is currently hiring for multiple leave coverage assignments and potential full-time placements. Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations, assessments, and direct therapy services for students in grades K-8.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student needs and educational goals.
- Support students with fine motor development, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, executive functioning, and functional school skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to support student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal development.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and service records.
- Provide services across assigned school settings as needed.
Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts Occupational Therapist license required.
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification required.
- Master’s degree or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- School-based experience preferred.
- Licensing assistance available for qualified candidates.
Experience:
- Previous experience working with pediatric or school-based populations preferred.
- Experience supporting elementary and middle school students is beneficial.
- Familiarity with IEP processes, evaluations, and multidisciplinary collaboration preferred.
Skills:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent organization and time-management abilities.
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs.
- Strong understanding of occupational therapy practices within an educational environment.
