Job Description
Make a meaningful impact as a contract physical therapist supporting students for the 2026-2027 school year, serving a caseload near Madison, AL. This part-time role (20-25 hours per week) allows you to provide essential physical therapy services in a school-based environment, collaborating closely with an established education team. You’ll have the unique opportunity to work alongside an MCBOE-recommended physical therapist to divide the caseload and coordinate school assignments, ensuring each student receives the care outlined in their Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid state license as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- Prior experience within a school setting is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Skilled in developing and implementing individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to assigned students across multiple school locations as specified in each IEP
- Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions and student progress
- Provide thoughtful recommendations and insight to IEP teams for ongoing student support
- Travel between designated schools as needed to ensure comprehensive therapeutic coverage
