Travel Pediatric Hospital Pharmacist | Keller, Texas

This travel pharmacist opportunity is based in a leading children’s hospital in Keller, TX, offering a unique chance to work within a specialized pediatric inpatient setting. The role begins ASAP for a 6-month assignment, with the possibility of transitioning to a day shift position later in the year to cover a pharmacist on FMLA through January 13, 2027.

Responsibilities:

• Provide pharmaceutical care during the night shift from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM, covering a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule
• Ensure accurate and timely dispensing of medications in accordance with hospital protocols and pediatric dosing guidelines
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to support safe and effective medication use for pediatric patients
• Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management, documentation, and inventory control
• Monitor inpatient medication therapies, including verifying orders, reviewing patient profiles, and assessing for drug interactions or contraindications

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid Texas pharmacist license
• Experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting, preferably inpatient
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems
• Pediatric pharmacy experience is highly preferred, given the children’s hospital environment
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills to work effectively during overnight hours

Schedule:

• 7 days on, 7 days off
• Night shift hours: 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Potential to transition into a day shift role later in the assignment
