Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a dedicated Occupational Therapist supporting students in an elementary school setting. Located near Denver, CO, this onsite position offers the chance to provide meaningful services to young learners throughout the academic year. The assignment is scheduled to start on August 11th and continues through May 21st, 2027, with a consistent three-day-a-week schedule.
Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapy license required, with experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- CDE (Colorado Department of Education) certification required; applications in process will be considered if proof of submission is provided
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work well alongside teachers, support staff, and families
- Solid understanding of pediatric OT practices, particularly as they pertain to IEPs, sensory, and fine motor strategies in a school environment
- Capable of independent caseload management and documentation within required timelines
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students with varying needs, fostering skills for academic and daily living success
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and document progress in accordance with school and district policy
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate positive outcomes for students and provide support to instructional staff
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions as assigned
- Maintain organized, thorough records and comply with all guidelines for ethical and effective practice
