Job Description
Here’s an exciting contract opportunity for experienced Special Education Teachers ready to make a positive impact within a supportive educational environment. Three full-time positions are available for the 2026-2027 school year, all located near Pendleton, IN, each catering to distinct student groups and settings.
Available Positions (Please specify which site/role you are applying for):
- Anderson High School: Life Skills classroom with approximately 10 students. Hours are 7:20 AM – 2:30 PM.
- Southview Preschool: Two openings in inclusion classrooms, each with around 10 students. Hours are 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid and active Indiana teaching license in Special Education (please provide a screenshot upon applying)
- Demonstrated success working with students who have diverse learning needs
- Flexibility, compassion, and strong communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families
- Comfortable working exclusively onsite throughout the contract term
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students’ unique needs
- Develop and implement IEPs, track progress, and adjust instruction as needed
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Collaborate with instructional teams to promote student success
- Maintain diligent and timely documentation in accordance with school policies
This contracted role offers the opportunity to work 35 hours each week from August 3, 2026 through June 7, 2027. You’ll be instrumental in helping shape positive outcomes for students in either a specialized high school or inclusive preschool setting.
